Tumble Dryers
On premises tumble dryers for care homes, hotels and restaurants
All Miele washer extractors have a matching tumble dryer. The tumble dryers are unique in that they have axial air flow (which means that the clothes are tumbled through the air), reverse drum action (which prevents tangling) and moisture sensing (which means the machine will stop when the contents have achieved the desired level of dryness).
This is a useful facility as the tumble dryer can leave enough moisture in the laundry to negate the requirement to steam during ironing. There are several advantages to this:
- The laundry operator doesn't have to keep feeling the laundry to see if it's dry
- The laundry is not over-dried, which is wasteful in terms of drying costs and times, but also means the laundry has to be moistened again for the ironing process
- It reduces the cost of drying, and minimises the total cost of processing the laundry
Miele tumble dryers are available in electric or gas versions.
